The vibe here is undeniably local, complete with plastic stools and a no-frills approach that emphasizes the food over the decor. Yet, it’s this simplicity that captivates diners—proof that great taste doesn't have to come with extravagance. A mere 30 pesos for two tacos makes indulging in this deliciousness not only tempting but accessible. As Zack C. Hall states, if you’re searching for something authentic and "freakishly delicious," look no further than Taquería Rosario.
With glowing reviews from patrons like Germano Pinheiro and Frederik Hærup Olesen, who both highly recommend the taquería, it’s clear that the culinary magic here is hard to match. You can get seven tacos for around 120 pesos, making it an incredible value for such quality fare. If you find yourself in Valladolid, make sure Taquería Rosario is on your list—your taste buds will thank you.

Adorable old man offered us a free taco each as we walked by. We were hooked. He was very sweet, spoke to us in a lot of Spanish we didn't quite understand. But dang, tacos were good. Juicy and melts in your mouth. We ordered 6 more and then he kept giving away additionals tacos to us like Oprah gives away cars.

Our favorite Tacos in Valladolid after trying a few places. Their braised pork has more rich flavour (and tomato?) and the tortilla size and taste is a perfect match with it. Another difference is that they use more fresh onions in the chili onion toppings that you can add by yourself. It then performs a great chemistry with the tacos. So good that we almost go everyday during our stay! Very local store at the corner if you like the vibe like us you will enjoy it. No menu seen but it’s pretty reasonable price so don’t worry about it. 2 tacos are like 30 pesos.

Absolutely phenomenal taqueria with cochinita pibil tacos that are to die for. Super nice folks. Plastic stools. No frills and inexpensive. If you’re looking for something real and freakishly delicious, this is your place. Wow.

Super yummy tacos and very fairly priced. I super recommend the place

Got 7 tacos for around 120 pesos and my god they were incredible. Some of the best I've had in Mexico. Can't recommend this place enough

Our journey through Valladolid's food paradise led us to a well-known gem that reigns as the tortilla royalty: Taqueria Rosario. While their cochinita pibil stands as a town favorite, it's their freshly homemade corn tortillas that steal the spotlight. Crafted right before your eyes, these tortillas elevate the taste of every taco they embrace. Their uniqueness lies in enhancing the flavors, turning each bite into a savory delight. Grab a bag of their totopos—crunchy corn chips—to savor on the move. Heads-up: the cochinita tends to sell out by 1pm, so arriving early ensures you won't miss out.

Amazing tacos for cheap, they give you sodas and spicy sauces to go with the delicious and simple pork. They sell tacos and tortas of only 1 kind of meat, there's no menu but they will ask and understand English. There is very limited seating inside, you can ask to eat in or to get the food to go. Inside there is a sink to wash your hands. They also sell their homemade tortillas on the other edge of the building, and you can see the machine they use to press the masa. Highly recommend for an authentic taco experience! Bring cash!

Delicious pork tacos with fresh house made tortillas on the spot! Humberto is the face of the shop and uber friendly, chatting away to us in Spanish, requesting his photo be taken with us and plying us with extra free tacos! Super authentic and some of the tastiest, simple tacos I've had here - absolutely worth a visit!
